When choosing a vacation or looking for a place to stay, I pay attention to the rating of kitchen equipment and often bring a few things with me. There have been many times when I have not been able to cook well due to lack of cooking utensils. But I also run into this problem when visiting my own family and my mother-in-law. Each family is accustomed to slightly different utensils, has different customs, and cooks different meals.
What should not be missing in the kitchen?
Kitchen utensils, aside from the larger appliances, can be divided into two or three groups.
1. What you need
Wooden or plastic utensils for stirring and turning food – cooking pots and turners of various types and sizes. Spatulas, spatulas, and ladles. Quality, sharp knives of various sizes and uses. Quality cutlery Meat chopsticks, colanders Wooden or plastic cutting boards of various sizes Quality, sharp, grater for fine and coarse grating Potato peeler Can opener, bottle opener
2. Desirable items
Garlic press, salad mixing Garlic press, salad mixing set, tea strainer, funnel, egg slicer, wooden or plastic dough roller. Whisk. Household scissors.
3. Sometimes needed
Mortar, speck press, cheese peeler, potato press. Meat cutting scissors. Marinade application needle, meat fork Spaghetti scoop Spiral whisk, grill tongs Strainer for cooking vegetables or steaming dumplings.
Perhaps you could add a number of items that you personally find important and are familiar with using and leave some of them off the list. It really depends on the amount and specifics of cooking and baking.
The most common materials are wood, silicone, plastic, and steel and other metals. Silicone, in particular, has become increasingly popular in recent years, pushing wooden cookware somewhat out of the market.
